You know, like get a laptop shell, the screen, memory, video card, battery ,etc Or you need the laptop from a manufacturer and then just buy some extra parts and stick it in the laptop for better performance? Red Posted January 5, 2008 Content Count: 6559 Joined: 03/14/07 Status: Offline Share Posted January 5, 2008 Unfortunately you can't build your own laptop, especially not unless you want high end graphics cards etc, which often work in partnership with computer makers. Like nvidia worked with Dell to make their Go versions of their geforce cards to fit in the XPS laptops. Link to comment
Omega Posted January 5, 2008 Content Count: 830 Joined: 05/17/07 Status: Offline Share Posted January 5, 2008 Dell XPS m1530 with a NVIDIA 8600m GT graphics card. Buy 4GB of ram for it on New Egg for under $100 and select the T7500 as your processor. Shouldn't cost you more than $1400, even with a couple of extra add ons, and I think it's a much better value than the Asus. proof pls Link to comment

Pancake Batter Posted January 8, 2008 Content Count: 672 Joined: 03/20/07 Status: Offline Share Posted January 8, 2008 I don't know, I hear a lot of bad things about Ibuypower, mainly that their customer support blows ass and that you may end up getting a busted comp, which is a hassle to fix due to the first reason. Read some customer reviews here, it's basically a 50/50 on reviews : http://www.resellerratings.com/store/iBUYPOWER Link to comment
