delirium Posted September 5, 2009 Content Count: 5382 Joined: 03/10/09 Status: Offline Share Posted September 5, 2009 I've been looking into buying a new rig for awhile and I was wondering where would be the best place to buy a custom rig from? ATM Im leaning towards Digital Storm. And no, im not going to just buy the parts and put it together. Link to comment

Or, you could just build.... lol, jk Link to comment

Shadowex3 Posted September 5, 2009 Content Count: 2959 Joined: 02/27/08 Status: Offline Share Posted September 5, 2009 Newegg for parts. SVC for accessories, fans, and heatsinks. Jonnyguru for PSU reviews if you're going to do the extremely unwise thing and pick a powersupply not made by Corsair, Seasonic, or PC Power and Cooling. Anandtech for reviews of everything else. Newegg, on the other hand, has a 9.77 lifetime rating and has NEVER been rated below 8.0 for long enough to disqualify them from holding an Elite award. And that's with nearly 30,000 reviews over their lifetime. http://www.resellerratings.com Link to comment

Shadowex3 Posted September 6, 2009 Content Count: 2959 Joined: 02/27/08 Status: Offline Share Posted September 6, 2009 the Element series is making a very poor showing of itself so far. First we had the ripple issues on the ST70EF, and now we have a SevenTeam built unit that can't take any heat, pushes ATX ripple specs itself, and can't meet its own 80 Plus Bronze rating. I keep posting links to Jonnyguru for a reason. He actually tests these things. We're talking full empirical testing of all aspects of a power supply even down to how much ripple it's got on it. You don't need to read the whole thing if you don't want to, just skip to the last page and read his summaries or even just look for the "JG recommended" graphic. Link to comment
