P3rg3 Posted September 18, 2009 Content Count: 1484 Joined: 06/18/08 Status: Offline Share Posted September 18, 2009 Hai. So, I've been having some issues with my computer. A problem with the sound, that is. It's been a problem before, but it's back. Whoop-dee-fucking-do. The PC that I'm talking about in this thread is: Asus P1-P5945G Intel 82801GB ICH7 - High Definition Audio Controller [A-1] (Shown in Everest) Analog Devices AD1988B (SoundMax) I guess that's all the information I can find, sound related. Windows 7 is the OS. And no, that is not the problem, I had the same issue before on XP. I don't remember how I solved it though. Anyway, there must be a driver out there that will fix my problem. I've tried many, none worked so far. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Any help is appreciated. Yours sincerely, me. Link to comment

Here. if you have a driver installed, and its the most up to date, i doubt its the issue. do you have the chipset drivers installed? Yes, sir. Chipset driver installed from the Asus website. The big problem is that no soundcard driver seems to work. Link to comment

I tried that. It installs the drivers as soon as the pc is booted. But that doesn't work either, even though it says that it's ready for use. Link to comment
Jager Posted September 20, 2009 Content Count: 1300 Joined: 06/24/07 Status: Offline Share Posted September 20, 2009 have you checked to see if the card is muting itself, or has the irq issue? if the drivers load but there is an issue device manager will tell you. Link to comment
