Western Digital. Or Seagate.

Fix'd. Mostly just check newegg for good ratings/price.

Subscribe to their newsletter, and snatch up a good deal like i did last week with a TB for ~70.

samsung do some good HDD's but you have to be careful on which ones you choose.

the Samsung Spinpoint 1TB HD103UJ (Ive got 1 so far) is one of the best hard drives out there. fast sustained read @ ~90 MB/s and write im not to sure about, i think its like near the 50/60 range. and has a mtbf of around 100,000 hours.

so i must say samsung do do some good hard drives.

but on the other poimt, as Solid state Drive are becoming larger/faster/cheaper. you can get your moneys worth with a regular hdd.

at this point i would stay clear of the SSD. wait another year before considering one, make do with a HDD, if you still want the speed, go for the Cheeter, or the Raptor drives.

all the companys make good hard drives, you just need to sift through there products and pick the best of the bunch

i wasn't denying samsung, i was merely changing it to my own experience. my seagate i just got has just about those same specs.

I've never had a Seagate in my life. All of the computers I own have WDs in them.
