sorry about this post. i honestly dont know where it came from, i had a bit to drink and then i had a shitty phone call, so i am sorry for my out burst.

i wasnt calling WD shitty, i have 2 WD 1 Seagate and a samsung. the 2 WD drives have lasted me 7 years and there still upto the task. its like with any computer components, you get what you pay for. i was trying to get across, dont just go for the Price Per GB.

no, im sorry Akaru, it was a bit harsh for me to say that, but pre-builts often save money on some key components that money shouldnt really be save, for instance they might put a no-brand PSU in, Cheap Motherboard. areas where money should be spent, but then they have all the Key components to say "Im A Good Computer" i was not at all saying that every single component in a prebuilt is shit. you just twisted my words.

ive also had a bad experience with a maxtor HDD. one to avoid imo

It's cool. My bad for twisting your words though. I do agree that prebuilts usually cheap out on parts. But the only thing I worry about in prebuilts are the PSU. Everything seems fine to me as long as it has the manufacturer's name on it (and it's a trustable manufacturer).
