(Right clicking and selecting exit). Well, my STEAM is crashing randomly and it looks exactly like that, all my steam windows close, the taskbar icon disappears, and I have to launch Steam again. It even does this while I am in-game, It is random and does it several times a day. Anyone know how to fix it? Link to comment

It happened the same to me a few days later, I repaired Steam multiple times until now, but It's still there... Try...... Ctrl + Alt + Del to start your activity thing and click on to "Process" (next to "Programs") and close the "Steam.exe" process. Restart it and I think it should update or something ://// This hasn't happened to me In-Game though, Counter-Strike: Scource only minimizes when the fucking Norton thing appears. I agree that Steam has errors that needs to be fixed.... Link to comment
Sgt_Church Posted October 10, 2009 Content Count: 669 Joined: 07/03/09 Status: Offline Share Posted October 10, 2009 Well I have to admit, I have several Viruses, but They are only adware (they place cookies on my computer) and that is about it, but the thing is, it closes the Steam.exe too. It completly closes steam all together and I have to start it back up and re-login. Its a pain in the ass and I was told by a kid in school to delete clientregistry.blob so im seeing if that works now, if it doesnt I'll probably end up sending steam a support ticket that they wont care about, thats why im asking here first. As for in-game, it exits my steam and if I'm in CS:S all it says is Disconnected, then all the graphics look really stupid (like boxes or static things) and I have to exit it then re-login to steam. D: Well, that's fucked up, dude. Can't help you on that one. But you're computer can always go back in time if you go to Accessories > system tools > It says "System återställning" on mine because it's Swedish but I bet It's something like System re-creation... Click that and go back to the time Steam worked correctly. Link to comment

New Viruses can wiggle into any system through any antivirus, and because the virus is in system32 I'm not going to delete it Everything is quarentined though Link to comment
