So... when joining crackhouse I get this error.

Server is enforcing consistency for this file : models\weapons\w_rif_galil.mdl

 

So I decide to delete the file. What happens? Nothing of course. Then I decide to delete the whole weapons folder and clean the game from my new skins. ( it will download the old skins again when I join a server). What happens? Again , nothing of course. At this point im already like... WTF.

 

My question. Am I doing something wrong or did you guys fuck the servers up somehow?

one of my friends told me that if your getting errors connecting the servers, try deleting clientregistry.blob (with steam exited) and you re-open steam after deleting it. You have to retype your password in and then you get an update, which fixes the file, ive done it before

Edit: ok , that didnt work. Steam refuses to start after I delete it. I kind of imagined that would happen.

 

I dont even need a galil XD. I only go on crackhouse to anoy people with para rushing.

Copy your cfg folder onto your desktop, delete your cstrike folder, open source up again, join the server. Once you connect, leave source, go into your cstrike, and paste in your cfg folder u copied from the old cstrike.

Get gcf explorer (google it) and copy the default galil files from the CSS GCF, you're guaranteed to be fine then. If it still gives you the same error (IMPORTANT: On the same w_rif_gal file, not on another different file) the server's fucked up somehow.

 

Also clientregistry.blob's a generic craptastic file that you can delete just fine, steam will just redownload/reform it when you start it up again without any problems.
