Events

I know this might be stupid, but would it kill the people that make events to use half a minute more on describing the event? SG's events are fun, but sometimes you have to guess your way to the server.

 

Something like the server IP and or the name + maybe a short description of why would make things way easier. The description is unnecessary if you don't want it, but the ip + server name makes things allot easier

If you delve into the actual event on steam the IP should be there (there's a seperate line to add it). I always add the IP.

tyrant im not talking about the BIG events. Im just talkin bout the small ones that pop up twice a week. The last two were on crackhouse and zombe surf. The crackhouse one i had to guess and even ask an admin which really is unnecessary. You should just add the IP + name in the SMALL events. And the zombie surf event. Well i only knew about the server because it said ZOMBIE SURF FTW . The BIG events like you are saying are always well described ;)

Oh I see, my mistake. Also, what Daze said is true. When you see the window that says like "OMG CRACK WHORES!" or whatever, click on it, and then I believe it leads to an event list, where you click that one, and it will list the IP. Also, as for having them write why this event is happening, most of the time it's to get more people into a server.

When you are creating events you are limited by steam for what you can put, although i do agree the event name should include which server

I do have to say that most of the descriptions of the smaller steam events speak for themselves.

i did not know about the clicking to find the IP, but yes mystique. just THIS WEEK i had to ask garfield what server an event was on because i didnt know what server it was But problem solved, TY
