Probably because the picture was handed out and posted around the school? He said so himself, thats why. Some people can't handle that kind of stuff and brush it off.

I will call him again once I get off work. Depending on my mood, I'll either let him off early (the whole situation was a misunderstanding and involved another student) or have him come in to the station for questioning.
