Shadowex3 Posted October 26, 2009 Content Count: 2959 Joined: 02/27/08 Status: Offline Share Posted October 26, 2009 Soundcard is optional, only necessary if you're going to do headphones (CMSS3d) or you really like EAX/etc. I do recommend them usually if you can fit it in and get the bottom-tier true hardware soundcard (careful, some x-fi's are cheapass software emulators) since it reallly does make a diff in a lot of newer games but it's still basically a bottom tier part. Anyway the list is (in order of importance/priority and how much to spend on it): PSU Mobo CPU GPU HDD Case Heatsink/fan RAM Soundcard (SPU? that just sounds retarded.) Optical drives Bling/addons And please, for the love of game, when all of us nerds are screaming to go to Jonnyguru and check their PSU reviews or just get one of the brands we tell you to, don't think we're messing with you. It really is that important. Link to comment

I might buy another 500GB hard drive, use that for my OS and other shit, and then see what will happen if i put the hard drive im using now, in the PC aswell. Also, im going to be using Windows 7, so will i have to un-install XP from the computer im using now? Or can i pick with OS i want to use? Link to comment
