Nvidia is more reputable as a GPU manufacturer anyways. According to some studies that I saw, Nvidia cards dominate about 63% of the world, while ATI dominates about 28%. The rest goes to Intel, S3, etc. I recommend a GTX 260 or get 2 for SLI (if money is not a problem). As a matter of fact, if you are willing to spend ~500 for 2 GTX 260, maybe get a GTX 295. I would recommend a GTX 285 or 275, but they are hard to find. Link to comment

Anyways, don't SLI, I understand SLIing 'is the shit' but with engines like source have shit for sli support. SLI, in some cases, can REDUCE fps, why spend twice as much for something that wont help? Anyway, I do agree that a GTX is nice, if money isn't a major then go for the GTX 275 here are some cheaper newer cards that can do the job for borderlands, l4d2, and hell, crysis. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010380048%201305520548%20106793024%201068320729&name=1GB and yes, these cards will be good until about i dunno 2011. and to anyone who disagrees with that I run a 8800gt 512mb and i run gta4 on high.
