how do u run faster without the knife out?

i was playing PotC and i noticed that some people was running faster with there pistol out than there knives, and they were looking slightly to the right too. how did they did that?

The secret is tapping your left/right key several times a second. If you turn on cl_showpos 1, you'll notice that your speed goes up by very little if you tap left/right. So people turn sideways, tap their sideways key several times a second, and move faster then everyone else.

 

And just for you Jaffa, you can run faster with a knife then with a scout, using this method. But if the person you're racing also uses this, he's blow you away. =P

When you're doing this, chances are you're in front. Why should you care about the slow pokes in the back, for example, in POTC, they wont even be in view.
