Nonsense Posted November 12, 2009 Content Count: 2 Joined: 08/17/09 Status: Offline Share Posted November 12, 2009 Hello, one and all! I'm looking to upgrade a couple of parts on my desktop in the next couple of months, and I thought I'd check and see what everything thinks about the parts I'm looking at. The two main upgrades I'm making are a new video card, and to support that, a new PSU. Here are the two I'm looking at right now. Here's the graphics card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150436 And here's the power supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139004 I like the looks of the HD 4870, and I'd rather have a decent psu with only one 12v rail, as I don't want to do much more than set it in and go. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Nonsense Link to comment

And yes, it would be a fine pick, or you could get the one you picked out initially and replace it with a third party heatsink. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185081&cm_re=scythe-_-35-185-081-_-Product Link to comment
