Underwater Camcorder

I'm looking into buying (eventually...) a underwater camcorder. My budget, once I start getting payed again, would go up to atleast 300-400$, unless the camcorder is beastly.

 

I am trying ot find a camcorder that records underwater (ocean, for scuba diving) and can also take high res pictures (most camcorders that also take pictures that i've seen have about a 3 mp camera).

All these dont exceed 10 feet (3m)..you wont be doing much scuba diving with that...Ive gone down to 25-30 feet (7-10m) free diving...my max was 60 feet (20m) with tanks cause the regs in france are a lot stricter than the US...

If you look at the last one, it goes 33ft which is my deepest ATM. I would have liked to get a small camcorder, with waterproof case, but they have shit res. Sofar the Tough Olympus 8000 is winning.
