Do NOT get a pistol grip only shotgun. You NEED a stock on it.

Go try shooting a few dozen rounds with a pistol grip, then go shoot a few dozen with a stock.

 

You'll want the stock.

 

Unless you have schwarzenegger wrists.

 

I tried shooting without using the stock on my 16ga, I can't imagine trying to shoot with a 12ga.

Well like I said, the shotgun would be for home defense, since my mother has become paranoid enough to believe there will be riots in the streets after the elections.

 

And while understand recoil is a major factor in shooting, chances are only a few shots would be fired.

Besides I think my house would be swiss cheese after 36 slugs were fired inside it.

I still stand by my suggestion that you get an 18" with a stock.

 

It'll help. No harm in getting one with a stock.
