Sound; Can you use speakers + headset at the same time?

Had a look on google and couldnt really find much.

 

Basically I would like the sound from my browser to play through my speakers and my in game sound/ ventrilo to play through my headset.

 

Ive allready set up my USB headset up on vent.

 

Do I need another sounds card? My current one is intergrated in my MoBo; P5Q-E.

 

Just wondering if theres any alternative, other than buying another sound card thats all. Maybe a piece of software that someone knows about?

i remember i used to have music play through my speakers and have css go through my headset,what i did is set my headset as my default then load css, minimize it then id set my speakers as my default and run my music

Allready tried it and it doesnt work.

 

Im running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit too btw if that makes any difference.

oh well im not sure if its any different with win7 since iv only used xp and vista

But I thought that USB devices are in theory an external sound card?

USB devices are just plain weird, this is why i always strongly recommend sticking to stuff that goes through your soundcard.

 

Honestly I don't have a clue how you would do this without a LOT of software processing and hooking into CSS in a way that pisses off VAC but if you find out please share because I'd like to do that too.

Found a program that does the job. Allthough the quality fucks up after 1 song, wierd.
