Mostly from numerous battles with them over the phone about the last graphics card I bought from them a year ago, I will never buy from them again, I'd rather give the money to Nvidia, then buy from ATI. That is an enterprise class drive designed for extended lifetime and raid. It's transfer speeds will be slower by itself (I have 6 of them in a raid 5 at work, and they are very fast in this setup). My 1tb Western Digital Black Transfers 15-20Mbps faster then these drives in write operations when using just the one drive. If you really want the enterprise storage solution, buy those in pairs for raid1 or 3+ for raid5, otherwise your wasting money on a relatively slower drive with no benefits. (Also, use a real raid controller like the PowerEdge Expandable RAID Controller (PERC) 5/i). Link to comment
