Any suggestions? Link to comment https://forums.steam-gamers.net/topic/24864-hammer-editor-crashing/

Have you configured your hammer properly? H09LfEKwwkU Link to comment https://forums.steam-gamers.net/topic/24864-hammer-editor-crashing/#findComment-297763

Hammer uses the best of your RAM, doesn't matter if your pc is good<.> It only makes the compile time faster. I already have uninstalled hammer, and manually went it to delete its folders. Upon re-installing it replaced the folders like i thought it would. However it knew that the last time (from the previously installed hammer) that it had crashed and even asked me if i wanted to try and re-open the map, so I have a feeling there was still some of the old hammer left somewhere. Anyways, thanks for the ideas, got anything else? [bTW, just as a time frame note: I try to make a cube using 6 separate blocks, and before i made the 5th wall it freezes then goes to blue screen] Is maybe re-installing steam the next step? Is there any possibility you're doing it in a convoluted way? Because for me it only crashes like that if I create something really complex (and randomly at other times, but never in a specific interval like within 5 mins of starting it). Usually it only happens to me if I have a lot of things highlighted and try changing something, or lets say I change the skybox (highlights the whole map) then I want to move it to a different location, the move of all the intricate pieces sometimes crashes me. But for a simple 6 sided block.... It shouldn't do it unless you're doing it wrong. Link to comment https://forums.steam-gamers.net/topic/24864-hammer-editor-crashing/#findComment-299684

No I'm doing it in a way that works, that I have done it successfully in the past, creating nearly complete (albeit really basic) maps. I believe something has gone wrong with hammer, however it doesn't seem to uninstall....at all. So that makes it so i can't re-install in. I had been using Hammer off and on for 3 months prior to this, so I was fairly experienced. Link to comment https://forums.steam-gamers.net/topic/24864-hammer-editor-crashing/#findComment-299873
