Help!!!! Urgent!!!! Windows wont start!!!!

ok so heres the story. I just finished reinstalling windows vista on my bros pc on a new hard drive over the past few days and this morning he goes to play on it and it keeps crashing and restarting itself. Like an idiot, least i think it was an idiot move, i went into safe mode and did a system restore to the night before and now windows wont launch in either safe mode or normally. uggggggggg!!!!! >_

 

Now i installed windows on the secondary drive and it boots fine so i don't think there's any hardware issue here.

 

I guess what I'm asking is if there is anything i can do besides reinstalling windows again? It's such a pain!

OK here's whats happening.. i clean installed windows vista and after installing a few things i keep getting this 5 sec blue screen that doesn't stay up long enough for me to read and the computer restarts... wtf?????

i think my bro got a virus.. i did a scan and it popped up some threat that wont delete "PE_Patch.Stolen" associated with some "wlanapi.dll" file

ya i dont think it was that after all.. i just did a clean install finished installing cod4 and when to download a patch and boom cuts to like 5 sec blue screen then restarts.... i have no idea wtf is going on

You need to enter the BIOS to remove it, but first you have to have a 2nd OS installed and that must be changed to primary.

You can start in Super-Safe-Mode and remove ALL things that you installed.

must be a virus dont download that patch -_-. But where are you downloadin the patch from?

gamershell but i think after doing some searching it was a driver issue, specifically a video driver issue.. i dunno why but hopefully the problem is solved
