Frostbyte Posted December 6, 2009 Content Count: 2750 Joined: 07/17/08 Status: Offline Share Posted December 6, 2009 orly? And, I don't have any viruses ;). I scan my pc every week. You think it's because of the new skins? If I was to guess, the source of your problem would be the virus scan in your background. Link to comment
Jager Posted December 6, 2009 Content Count: 1300 Joined: 06/24/07 Status: Offline Share Posted December 6, 2009 well two things, if you have antivirus running, then no AV wouldnt be lagging you likely, if it is SCANNING then yes it will lag you. if your css skins are not well made, or tested, they can severely lag your computer, i would recommend taking skins out then trying and putting them back in and see if that is your issue if the file verification/defragmenting turns up nothing. if you have bad fps check your ping as well, if your internet is lagging the game slows and your fps drop. also certain maps with hdr on crash my fps down from around 200 to 100ish easily if there is a firefight on. i had to fix certain settings to allow the game to not choke too much which was restricting my fps and lagging me. I mean sometimes if you get like 100 fps looking at a wall or something, you turn around and look at all these stuff, your fps would drop to something like 15 fps. Link to comment
