I need an encyclopedia. What im saying is i need far more info than "omg guys, my stuffs broked, fix it". Is it new? Anything change with your computer? New hardware? New software? New physical location? Maybe I just didn't notice the heating before but the computer started shutting itself down 3 days ago and I wondered what it was until I looked at the event viewer and saw that it shut itself down because of the overheating card. No new hardware or software, the location is still the same. Only thing is I have been playing quite a lot the past few days since it's holidays :]. Link to comment
Wrathek Posted December 28, 2009 Content Count: 1839 Joined: 09/28/08 Status: Offline Share Posted December 28, 2009 leave the case open for the next couple of days. if it still gets that hot under load, your card might be bad. if not, you may just need better/more/bigger case fans. Although, if the card is getting THAT hot, im leaning towards a bad card/bad heatsink/fan on the card. Link to comment
