£5 headset.....has lasted me 6 months and is still working fine. Any more money spent is money wasted.

 

I used to think that, until my headset started eating into my ears. Minimal padding ftl.

 

Also, the mic went out after about a year.

How long do these expensive ones last though?

 

Mine doesn't eat into my ear, little padding but it doesn't really matter.

If you get into the Sennheiser/Audio Technica levels of quality you can give them to your kids if you don't break them. Mine are at least 3 years old now and still sound perfect.

Well I finally got my G35 and I must say I am quite impressed. It is very comfy and has great sound quality, the 7.1 sound doesn't hurt. Lots of cool features with the bindable keys and voice changer built into the software.
