TNT Posted January 8, 2010 Content Count: 441 Joined: 04/07/09 Status: Offline Share Posted January 8, 2010 Tips: 1- You're wasting $320 on the OS, come to me bro 2- Why do you want that specific hard drive? I agree the 64MB cache and 6.0 GB/s is impressive, but you could get up to 3TB for cheaper or the same price. 1. Well, I'm going to actually go legit this time. I've been using... er... "not so legit" operating systems for quite a while. Thought I'd just go legit this time. 2. It's a nice drive. SeaGate has always been my favorite drive. I hear Western Digital is getting better, but when I used to buy drives from them, they would burn out. Plus as you said it has a 64MB cache, SATA 6.0Gb/s, 2TB, and it's 7200 RPM. Plus it comes with a five year warranty. Link to comment

Or you could buy Win7 pro for 30 bucks if you are a college student in the US, you are 16 so you might not be but if you know someone! Also i would go with the intel ^ and this, as it seems money isnt an issue read his first post hes deciding which cpu to get and knows he will need to change the mobo Hence why I said you dont have a mobo for second one.. he hasnt decided on one yet I advised what I was told was good! Akaru Posted January 8, 2010 Content Count: 1000 Joined: 06/12/09 Status: Offline Share Posted January 8, 2010 you should get a SSD rather than a HDD for that imaginary wishlist. also on that note to all the people who pay $100 for keyboards, mouses, and headsets i still kill you with my stock keyboard and mouse, gj wasting money. Hypocrite. You tell him to get a SSD rather than a HDD, but then you tell him to use a stock mouse and keyboard rather than a more expensive mouse and keyboard. Link to comment

He was buying a SATA 6.0GB/s HDD, a SSD is faster than that, and at the same price. Link to comment

tinkerbell Posted January 9, 2010 Content Count: 1662 Joined: 05/16/07 Status: Offline Share Posted January 9, 2010 this thread is pissing me off now, as none of you has noticed the obvious yet. he is on about getting a hdd SATA III when it is the ONLY!!!! SATA III disk drive out there, not even ssd are sata III yet, the mobo's he could even possible go for with the processors he has chosen, dont even support SATA III at the moment, so he is waisting his money. TNT, just post your budget that you can spend, so there is no confusion and the people who know what they are talking about can actually help you Link to comment
