I have headphones, surround sound speakers, and a standalone mic. My computer? Motherboard integrated sound (read as vent crashing.) My friend gave me his X-fi titanium Fatility pro. So last night I pop it into the PCI-E port, and shit does not work. It will not read the hardware. I went to BIOS and I disabled onboard sound for the motherboard... still won't read the card. What now ;_; Link to comment

Then go on the site and check for updates, but let the site decide if it's really installed or not. Actually ask your freind if he had problems with it, maybe he gave it away because he was havng problems with it as well? Link to comment

The PC will not read the new hardware, it only recognizes the onboard motherboard sound, which I disabled and then it didn't detect the hardware either. I'm pretty sure either the motherbard, the port, or the card is broken. Link to comment
