I went into my CP and I had 2 people send me reputation messages?

 

WTF is that?

 

I am guessing it might have something to do with the green bar underneath your name, but I'm not sure.

if you have rep messages it means someone gave you reputation, ie thought something you said or did deserved a "virtual cookie" or as some say, buffed your epeen.

 

 

its the non public way of showing someone or generally people think you are doing something good. , thanking is the public option

 

i added a bar to your rep as a proof of concept of how the system works.

 

higher-ups (any orange name) can also neg rep you to show disapproval, but most just generally call you out in the thread.

They also may neg rep just because they disagree with you, so be warned.
