Once you have it configured windows will automatically connect to your selected network on startup, removing the need for you to have it on startup. Wireless Zero scans in intervals for wireless networks causing major lag spikes, I see people playing all the time with these spikes and it reminds of the days I used to have them all the time.

Yeah that plus 99.9% of wireless cards come with their own configuration software so you don't have to use the lame windows connection center bull****.

no it isn't. I've had vista on my laptop for 2 years now, never have had this problem. And the config software most manufacturers include is stupid and a waste of space, as all it does is increase boot time. i always disable it and use winders >

Do you even use a wireless connection? because it's a problem with vista itself, it is just the OS so how does that make my computer less powerful in any way? It has to do with the internet connection, not the actual processing power, so yes, you are being ignorant.

 

And the config software is better than windows because you can edit more of the settings and save profiles.

 

It hardly increases boot time, maybe a few secs? Wow, I could care less, I keep my computer in sleep most of the time anyway so it doesn't matter.

You can setup profiles and stuff and view your connection better than just 5 bars.
