Can't Connect to server? IP problem maybe

I'm at my friend's house and we both want to play a nice friendly game of Jailbreak together. The problem is, however, that whenever one joins when the other is on, the first one on gets kicked. Happens every time we try it.

 

Is it not possible to join the same server with another person with the same IP?

I've done it before with no problems.

 

What does it say when you get kicked?

its because steamgamers doesnt allow dupe ip's i dont think

I sometimes play on the same server with my brother and we both use the same internet.

thats wierd... Message one of the BD's, might be able to sort it out. Or jager, the techincal dude.

If you're on the same LAN, both of you are unable to join, BUT, if you go to the games tab, right click the game you want to play on, select properties, go to set launch options, and try -port 27015 and on the other computer, do the same thing but instead, type in -port 27016. That usually works for me and my cousin.
