A little more than $700 not counting the MIR which I have had good luck with so for on Newegg!

Now some will laugh and have a lot a neg comments...but here is the deal

CONS: GPU slow clocks

775 is dead

PSU isnt as good as Id like PSU i already had Im not buying a new one

No crossfire/sli with that board but cheap

BUT PROS

This GPU is easily OCable to stock 4870 performance and it has HDMI port

PSU is OCable as well too 3.6 stable with that heatsink with out to much prob

775 build is half the price

I dont have more money for a better GPU so that will do

Its my first build it will be fun!

If I build an I7 in the future I can reuse that HS and that case

Im just sharing there are no suggestion possible as everything is ordered except the CPU Im waiting for paycheck at the end of the week!

Pff.. Don't waste your money on a fancy case, I bought a nice looking case with a sidepanel look-in and literally the most useless buy ever. I'd focus more on your monitor, rather than your case. Heck, with that $85 you could be buying atleast a 19" LCD right there. Also I'd think about instead going for AMD, as they are generally cheaper. Buying a quad is useless at this moment even, and buying a core 2 quad is an even worse idea (i run a q6600, unless you do a lot of compiling and junk it's useless as fuck, a x3 or x2 would suffice just as good). I'd also recommend getting a new Mobo and DDR3 instead, this is because DDR3 is just as much as DDR2, and the fact is that DDR2 isn't getting any younger and switching now could be a relatively good choice for a longer-term computer. Also you shouldnt need to OC your GPU unless you are buffing out the GTA4. But since you are probably still gonna OC i'd suggest getting RivaTuner and making it so your GPU fan is running 100% 24/7 so you can have it survive a longer amount. But OCing it without running the fan is a recipe for disaster, it would probably not even last a year :/

Meh, frankly as long as the case has enough space and good air circulation, it's fine with me.

this case does a fine job with air flow! its just a little tight but I dont plan on getting a x2 ATI card so Ill be fine but I wonder how big will the new nVidia series be?!

Im regretting a little not thinking ahead and buying a i5 750 but there are a few reasons for that..I made a couple mistakes 2 month ago..so now I got to go 775 and the Q9400 is the best choice for me! and it is cheaper than the i5 (all hardware taken in account)

dont worry about my GPU OCing http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com/

Most of you Im guessing know this forum and it has awesome detailed info
