Their motherboards aren't exactly what you would call "stable". Unlike ASUS, you can only use the RAM that is listed on their supported list. Otherwise, you'll end up in a shit storm like I did. I thought x86 (32-bit) OS's could only go up to 3.5 GB? Maybe not? In 2-4 years i7 will be in the bargain bin. We are already seeing 32nm chips hit the market. It won't be too long before we see a newer (and better) architecture running on 32nm or lower. been using a ga-p35-ds3l rev 2 for the past 2 years and its worked perfectly fine. also: your build needs more cowbell. 1 Link to comment

trakaill Posted February 24, 2010 Content Count: 3736 Joined: 11/30/07 Status: Offline Share Posted February 24, 2010 (edited) in 2-4 years i7 is gonna be like the Pentium d That is a stupid comment Ill tell you one thing in 2 years the i7 will still be running hardcore Anyway a 6 core thread is coming out soon! I have an E6550 and it still runs fine I could prolly still use it It all fine by me if you want to go spend shit load of money for what ever shit is out there..but Ive found that staying behind technology a little allows me to enjoy myself without spending a lot of money which I dont have... I just got a Q9400 and Im sure it will run for a while! Not only that but Intel did come out with their S series to save energy on LGA 775 which makes it not completely dead! Lordcrazy Posted February 24, 2010 Content Count: 975 Joined: 07/01/09 Status: Offline Share Posted February 24, 2010 Looks good for everything except the fact that you are gonna need a fan/cooler. I recommend this if you are willing to spend money on it. FYI NEVER buy the cheap fans they do not work! http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0306517 Also if you are going to put more money into this machine later upgrade that power supply to a 1,000 or 950 watt. Otherwise good choices. Link to comment

It didn't blink while running benchmarks... but it got pretty hot. This was quoted from an review of this PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139005 which is 650 If your gonna give such advice!! GTFO! And regional if you consider pentium D moderate to decent...sad face Link to comment
