Pretty smart to make a website where people can edit it.

 

Not as much anymore. They are starting to lock many pages now so people can't edit them.

I do this in every paper that I write.

 

Also, yes, they are locking pages that are popular/important, so only administrators or special users can edit them. Also, if you delete the whole article and replace it with something like "penis lolol", it will automatically revert to the last save (original article).

Wow Wikipedia is a great source however it's better used if you look at the bottom where they post various sites where they get tidbits of info....( hint hint Jewpiter. )
