Though I managed to fix the automatic shut-down prob thanks to you guys! It was battery overheating. I thank you all that supported me through that. This time the screen turns white. It doesn't turn white when I've just started the laptop, but when it loads all the programs to the desktop, or when I'm browsing the internet and someimtes playing games. It looks exactly like this: But this isn't my laptop. I have PackardBell. I've been doing researches. This is what they say on one webiste: "Most likely it is just a bad connection between the LCD display and the system board. I would try reseating the video cable connector on the back of the LCD screen first and check if it fixes the problem. After that I would try reseating the video cable connector on the system board. I would also try reseating cables if there is no video on the LCD screen at all." How do you exactly "reseat" the video cable connector on the back of the LCD screen, or reseating the video cable connector to the system board? Thanks Edited March 4, 2010 by Jazz Link to comment
Daze Posted March 4, 2010 Content Count: 6741 Joined: 06/10/08 Status: Offline Share Posted March 4, 2010 You need to get the manual for the laptop. It's going to involve taking off the black casing around the screen and reseating the cable and then opening up to the motherboard itself to check the cable at the other end. Generally this is done through the keyboard but as I said, it should all be in the technical manual for the laptop. Obviously, it's a shit load harder than a PC to do this, parts are extremely small and fragile so you need to be careful. If you're not comfortable then just take it to a shop. 1 Link to comment

Thanks reseating is just reconnecting, they are afraid it has just come loose or something. Link to comment

I told you if you have factory recovery application or disc thats the best way! Other wise you need an OS disk.. And I would not open the laptop unless your sure of what your doing..if its a dust problem you usually fix that with compressed air can Link to comment
`Pepper. Posted March 5, 2010 Content Count: 513 Joined: 12/06/09 Status: Offline Share Posted March 5, 2010 Opening laptops is not as hard as some may think. All you must do is take things slowly, and remember where things came from. I can now open my HP mini completely in about 5 minutes I was having a monitor problem with that, so I opened it up, tightened some screws, reseated some connections then the problem was gone. If you are not 100% comfortable with opening your laptop, then I suggest calling the manufacturer, or bringing it to a shop. Link to comment

I will open up the laptop from underneath and clean any dust and reseat any loose connection between wires. TechSupportForum told me that "heat sink" is also a material that get's usually hot. So I thought about cleaning that too. But I do not know how to clean it. No responce yet. Oh and Trak, yes, I think I have saved the disk somewhere home. After my reseating, if the problem doesn't fix, I'll re-install the whole laptop... Btw I deleted Steam recently, so that's the most likely reason that I'll not be on until this problem fixes.
