Daze Posted March 5, 2010 Content Count: 6741 Joined: 06/10/08 Status: Offline Share Posted March 5, 2010 I bought Kaspersky back in 2008 as the cheap alternative to Symantec. I've been using it ever since. I just find it easy, reliable and secure. Never had a problem with it. Ever. Link to comment

What you can do is reinstall windows whenever you get a really bad problem, and recover you're files from the extra hard drive. If you insist on using an antivirus program, then I suggest nod32, not free. Some good free alternatives are, Malwarebytes, AVG, and Spybot. Link to comment
