Daze Posted March 5, 2010 Content Count: 6741 Joined: 06/10/08 Status: Offline Share Posted March 5, 2010 I bought Kaspersky back in 2008 as the cheap alternative to Symantec. I've been using it ever since. I just find it easy, reliable and secure. Never had a problem with it. Ever. `Pepper. Posted March 5, 2010 Content Count: 513 Joined: 12/06/09 Status: Offline Share Posted March 5, 2010 This is what I suggest, Instead of spending that money on an antivirus, spend it on an extra hard drive. What you can do is reinstall windows whenever you get a really bad problem, and recover you're files from the extra hard drive. If you insist on using an antivirus program, then I suggest nod32, not free. Some good free alternatives are, Malwarebytes, AVG, and Spybot. It's the shit, better than NOD32, less resources too. Link to comment https://forums.steam-gamers.net/topic/28263-looking-into-new-anti-virus/#findComment-346350
