I have to Agree with Desum that a lot of people dont seem to understand the line between what is Warning Shot worthy and what is kill worthy. To be honest, everyone spends their time screaming for warning shots, even when they are running straight out of big cage to the dead ct's m4, or running from their cell straight to the vending machine on Razor. I cant even count the amount of times I have seen people raging over getting warning shot for something that deserved a kill.

Warning shots are for non-violent rebelling so, Ts should get warning shots for everything except, prims, vents, armory and so on.

I agree with Desum here, and we already have enough rules for PB as is. People should be able to understand how to use warning shots, if you don't know how, prolly shouldn't be playing as a CT.

On the pool thing; You directly disobeyed an order and should have been killed. Its not their fault you weren't listening. CTs give orders for a reason.

 

You wanna know why the warning shot is rarely enforced? It probably has something to do with the, i dunno... fact that probably 75% of the admins who actively play PB do not agree with the warning shot rule. Idk about admins not giving the warning shots(since i wasn't there at the time... though from the looks of it all your examples given are just you not understanding the warning shot rule), but by all means as it has been stated countless times before: Administration is not a job, its volunteerism. It is completely our choice if we choose to enforce a rule at any given moment.

 

Now, I'm not saying admins should just chillax while a hacker rampages across a server, but by all means for some little annoying rule like this we've no true obligation to enforce it.

 

and also, side-note, if someone reported an administrator for not giving warning shots, they'd receive the same punishment as a normal player... and depending on the severity of the situation, they most likely would not receive a strike.

 

To pretty much sum this whole thread up, people no longer really understand what a warning shot is. Warning shots are for very minor things where an order has barely been broken or about to be broken(I.E, holstered pistols). They are NOT for when an order has been completely broken(I.E, going towards the pool after "Go to soccer, no detours/delays" has been stated). So, CTs, if you see us clearly breaking a rule, deliberately or not, by all means feel free to kill us. I'm tired of the pussy CTs caught up with being nice and warning people while we swarm them and end the round in less than a minute. Like I said before, I think we get more QQ about what is a warning shot, but i did give him a warning shot, why'd i get noze warnin shotzz, etc etc then we did with just "wtf, i just had my foot outta the cage".

 

So, again, warning shots are for minor disobedience, not for direct disobedience of the orders. Thank you and good night.

 

I completely agree with Desum on this. Warning shots are for stupid shit, they aren't for major detours or delays such as when you go to the medic when given orders to go to the big cage and say, "I'm healing" and when you die you complain next round "Where was my warning shot."

Uhu, If people are T, they start to play and think they will own the whole group.

There are 2 major differences that state this rule:

- The T runs to a group of CT's and get's a warning shot.

- The T runs to a group of CT's and get's killed in mid-air.

 

One more example:

-Bubblez (T boy) comes with a secondary weapon holstered, walking to me (CT boy), i tell him to drop it, he doesn't react for 10 seconds (maybe shorter but k...) and i give him a warning shot, to tell him he must throw it away now!

 

-Bubblez comes with a secondary weapon, walking to me and i shoot him to pieces with my super aiming skills, just because he had a weapon...

OH!!! I SEE MORE T's WITH A SECONDARY!!!! *shoots them all to pieces*

 

The T isn't attacking at that time, only running towards, or just standing there with a holstered secondary

 

That's why the warning shot's must stay and admins must enforce this rule upon the players.

Good job at calling the admins stupid. And good job at getting proof. You are obviously raging at our admins for not following the rules yet you are failing to get any proof of that whatsoever. If you do have proof, my bad. If you don't, it's laughable. It is the admins job to enforce rules. It is your job as a (honorable) member of this community to keep the servers clean of shit admins and douchebags by reporting it to the higher ups, but obviously you're not doing that either.

 

If you DO have proof why not post admin complaints instead of just blatantly insulting the other players of the community.

 

I'd rather just see warning shots removed altogether, rather than having to punish admins just to do a simple task that obviously cannot be completed.
