Just a good computer for gaming. Thank you. https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/MySavedWishDetail.aspx?ID=11310451 The GTX 260 on that list is out of stock, so you'll have to pick a different one, should be the same price. Costs 811 dollars, could bring down the price by going for a smaller (500-750GB) HD, or save another 61 dollars for it. https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/MySavedWishDetail.aspx?ID=15595108 AMD / ATI build, everything seems to be in stock with this. 790 dollars, can buy the Kingston RAM in the Intel list instead to bring the price down by 15 dollars or so. Either brand is fine from what i know. Both builds are roughly equal, but the AMD / ATI one will perform better (And have DX11 for BC2). I can replace the DDR3 RAM with DDR2 to bring down the price if you would like. Link to comment

I would go for an i5 at this point just because it will leave you room to upgrade in the future.. On the wish list I posted I would change the video card to a 5750 or 5770 if you can afford it Edited March 11, 2010 by trakaill Link to comment

If he gets a GTS 250 he is just throwing his money away. I've had a bad experience with every Liteon drive I bought. Every drive I have owned has failed at one point or another. I would suggest that he stick with a reliable manufacturer such as Samsung or Sony. Link to comment
Shadowex3 Posted March 12, 2010 Content Count: 2959 Joined: 02/27/08 Status: Offline Share Posted March 12, 2010 Tbh trakaill's build is the best so far except for two things. I'd swap out either of these 5770's (one's a 72 hour sale, other is permanent price): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150447&cm_re=hd_5770-_-14-150-447-_-Product http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150462&cm_re=hd_5770-_-14-150-462-_-Product and I'd switch to one of these cheaper but still 120mm only (comes with at least 2) cases: http://tinyurl.com/yjv4d3c That gets you a videocard on par with a GTX 260 from a manufacturer that offers lifetime warranties even if you change the heatsink and extends the warranty to whoever you sell your card to later for about the same overall price as the original build. Case is one of the few places you can cut corners with no repercussions if you stick with 120mm fans. Especially since 10 minutes and a dremel can change it however you want pretty much. Ive read a bunch of reviews and in that price range it seems liton has had the best reviews so I suggested it... I have a shit dell OEM drive and it has been working for 2 strong years now... Its loud and slow but considering I open my optical drive less then 5-10 times a year I really dont give a crap and shadow your obviously right about the case. I like the 300 its a nice reliable case that seems to have nice flow..antec made it a plus but out of the range you posted I like this rosewill http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147023 And I had a good experience with my sapphire card.Id buy that brand again. their vapor x its pretty cool looking too I think if I had to go cheap Id buy that!
