video problem

I tried playing at the sever again lately and i have been lag spiking alot.

On net_graph 3 i have been getting a coke of 160 or so.

 

I got a new video card and it has the most up to date drivers, so im pretty lost as to whats wrong. The card is a Nvidia 220 GT.

rate / cl_updaterate / cl_cmdrate in console.

Choke is related to the server, not really you. All choke is is lag between you and the server - the server basically can't keep up with everything that's happening. This will not effect your FPS, though. I'd say it's a background program that's causing it - perhaps an antivirus that's trying to scan in the background? (Maybe it's the SG chatbox refreshing? ) Try closing down everything and see if it continues.

3000 rate is way too low, 20000 is pretty much standard.

I loaded casy config, so its all good now, though i have to reset the textues everytime.
