I bought a like 15-20 dollar mic from Extra Foods (Grocery store with some other random things (like cheap mics:))) And I only ever use my headset for the mic, and let my sound go through speakers.. Works perfectly fine.. I don't really understand why people pay 60+ for something, unless they are truly hardcore, when 20 suffices (unless you have no extra speakers lying around anywhere).
