Mic Volume always low

I have to have it on +10 outbound on vent for it to be normal.

 

I have mic boost on...mic volume on full and in-game it's too low and no one hears me.

 

Any solutions??????? Or does my PC just suck... (It's been like this with all the microphones I've had)

Have you checked your windows sound options - and got it fully boosted there?

Go to Start>Control Panel. Then click hardware and sound. From there, click manage audio devices in the sound. Go to the recording tab. Click your mic, hit properties, go to levels, and raise the bar.

 

maybe this will help, if it doesn't buy another mic

i also seem to have this problem some times, i went where you said to go chaos and the mic is 100%

but should i raise the boost too?

Same problem but ingame, with windows, game, and all mic boosts maxed out. Sometimes a microphone is just too damn quiet.

well euhm, i'm really outta ideas, maybe this last 1 will help,

 

if you open up Steam, go to to Settings (it should be at the bottom of the steam window) then go to Voice and see if the microphone volume is all the way to the right

 

if it is, then it might be your mic or just game-related

I have had this problem before, may seem silly, but is the drivers for your sound device installed?

How are you plugging your mic in?
