I also have a 6600gt any advice for increasing FPS?

Buy a new graphics card and power supply. Sorry but really I've got nothing. At the end I was running in DirectX7 mode at 1024x768 with all settings at minimum and special custom models that were really bland and boxy to try and stay over 40fps.

If you get a new card, make sure to get a higher end card as well, not just a newer one. For instance, a GeForce 8800 probably runs better than a GeForce 9600, even though it's newer. And, as Shadow said, probably a new power supply to power it.

You've already got Ultramon so I can't think of anything else. I just use my second monitor for extra productivity personally.

Even my 6600gt had no problems gaming on one screen with just windows and 2d stuff on the other.

sure in general, but maxxing settings on games like BF:BC2 or newer games and still having secondary monitor does add a penalty hit its not egregious, but the weaker the card the more likely that hit will be more annoying.

running 200+ fps in css with all settings maxxed is as we all know not going to stress most year or 2 old video cards even if you tried in most situations.

Here is something that could be bad with 2 monitors

Also, dual monitors might not be the best with a 4650 if you are extending them across 2, FPS issues.

this sucks... if you gonna do that might as well have two mon or not do that at all...

more like it

Yes, i hate it so much. It runs like a piece of shit :(

Yeah Gero I know how ya feel I have a 6600GT as well.......unfortuantly when I tried to get an 8800GT....bought it and everything.........I realized my motherboard is agu( Ithink its called that)......pretty much check your motherboard.....if you have a 6600gt card most likely you dont have pci-express......which runs the newer cards.
