Posted May 3, 2010 Content Count: 513 Joined: 12/06/09 Status: Offline Share Posted May 3, 2010 if you read the review unless you are into heavy video editing and or multi threaded applications the 4 core intel i series are beating this 6 core. so while I am not saying dont buy AMD, but think logically and do some research read the reviews and pick your chips based on what you do most and is the most bang for your buck. if all you do is game a dual or quad core is overkill, a 6 core is bragging rights, but rarely will you activate 4 cores in gaming, much less 6. new games may be multi threading capable which renders this argument moot, but until then its nice pc bling, not gaming zomg must have. well you got a point there. not much out there really take full advantage of even dual cores yet let alone 4 or 6 Arma 2 Futuresproof nuff said? Intel has the better stuff if you want to pay double what you pay for getting AMD, especially with the whole six cores processors. Link to comment

For a while now each new chip has been based on the last one. They are coming out with a whole architect though. They are calling it the bulldozer for now.
