Ya, I know what you mean. The most annoying thing is the cpu. I am not good at putting the right amount of thermal paste on, I often put not enough.

 

I think you might be putting to much and not getting optimal heat transfer...

its really hard not to put enough tim I feel...

I think so too but ati 5+++ have been recommended its up to him now..

The only course of action is to buy a new Nvidia Fermi (GTX 480). If I had more money and didn't have a 280 already I'd buy one.

Go with the 5770. It's the best bang you can get for your buck.

Yeah, and start having PLASMA generated in your computer. Unless you have a watercooling setup, no thanks.

If you want to save 30 bucks, and don't mind a card a little less good (but still kickass), get a 5750.

 

I have never had good luck with good performance in NVIDIA cards.
