SchmoSalt Posted May 29, 2010 Content Count: 494 Joined: 08/23/09 Status: Offline Share Posted May 29, 2010 if possible, I don't want to buy things off ebay. and isn't the toshiba that I posted cheaper and has better spec than the lenovo? Don't get an IdeaPad anyways. I've heard bad things about them. If you go Lenovo, get a proper Lenovo. Get a ThinkPad. I've owned and loved my ThinkPad T500 for over a year now. At this point, my next laptop will be another ThinkPad, unless someone else comes out with a durable business-class laptop. As for you, it all depends on what is important to you. If durability is important to you and speed isn't, go for a ThinkPad. If (gaming) speed is more important to you, I would suggest looking into another brand. Also, ThinkPads tend to run on the pricer side compared to other laptops like Toshibas. If you're looking into a cheap entry-level laptop, go for Toshiba or ASUS. Link to comment

It will demolish the battery pretty quick. Here is a nice one that should have a long living battery. Please note that you will not be able to play Crysis on this. You might be able to get HL2 running on it, not at amazing FPS rates. http://www.amazon.com/Seashell-1005PE-PU17-BK-10-1-Inch-Netbook-Battery/dp/B00322PYZO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1275276619&sr=8-1 But hey, who needs games on the laptop anyways? You said you were brining a desktop along as well. Just play your games on there, and hope for good battery life on the netbook. Link to comment
