You create the music you love, no matter if others think it's shitty, which someone will always think something is. Sure 75% of Slipknot's songs are piss poor excuses but every band has piss poor excuses. Unlike Rap a lot of metal bands do sound different (though some sounds quite the same). Bands sounding the same is what successful bands complain about. Metal isn't confined to one sound.

 

I never said metal was confined to a single sound, there are countless different types of metal out there. Maybe my use of their DJ was a bad way to put it, so I shall "rephrase" it for you.

 

Slipknot it insanely gay because they sell their shitty ass metal to little kids and their singer could not scream his way out of a box.

That's soo true, if any of you people have searched up thigns about screamign in songs, zoidberg knows what he's talking about, there's alot of different types of screams, liek fry screams, inhale,exhale,growls, etc. and so what if kids like their music? It just means they have fans.

Nah, I did take it too far. Im serious about music too, and I try and keep an open mind to others taste, but Slipknot is just one of those bands I feel strongly against but looking back I was being a dick.
