Itch Posted June 11, 2010 Content Count: 3440 Joined: 12/12/07 Status: Offline Share Posted June 11, 2010 ^ doesn't know I have a phone that costs 10x less and does more. Price has no affect on quality, or the number of features. Gross comic related. "Can't afford" is a shit-tier argument. It's not about being able to afford or not, but about being willing to pay more for less. It has been proven several times over and over again that competitors make better smartphones that perform better and yet cost less. So why would any sane person pay more for something that gives you less? You just proved you are as big a fanboy as he may be. What the fuck phone are you referring to that "cost 10x less an does more" seriously.. I've owned quite a few smartphones and the iPhone by far wasn't the most expensive and few did as much. Sure the Newer Driods kick ass and I would be as happy with one of them. but your statement just proves you don't know shit. As for afford.. I know quite a few people that hate on smartphones (not just the iPhone) for just that reason. As soon as you jump on the fanboy wagon one side or the other.. you loose objectivity and your opinion becomes about as useful to the subject as whale shit on the bottom of the ocean. Link to comment

I am also in NO WAY a fanboy Link to comment

I am also in NO WAY a fanboy Really.. your previous posts would say otherwise. I have both a Driod and an iPhone. One for work and the other for personal/contract work. Both have pros/cons. And after having used both daily for over 6 months I'd have to say that either is a decent choice. By no means does one far exceed the other in functionality. There have been cases where I could do what I wanted on one and not the other but it has been very balanced. As for cost it was pretty much the same. It may be that you got a screaming deal on your phone but as a general rule they are pretty comparable. So unless you Hate AT&T or are anti-Apple there isn't a major reason to avoid the iPhone. Anyone that is looking at a smart phone needs to look at coverage in their area. Talk to people that use them. Ask iPhone users who aren't total fanboys how they like the service in the area, and likewise with Driod users. Look at contract costs and overall cost/feature ratio.. compare and make your purchase based on all the info.. don't jump on one bandwagon or another and for once don't purchase based on impulse and fanatacism. And in general stop hating on something to make yourself feel better about what you have/don't have. Link to comment

Says enough why you should avoid them if you value your privacy. Apple and AT&T do not know much about security, and I would never trust anything I put into one of their devices. Link to comment

You yet again proved that you just hate AT&T/Apple and don't really have a solid argument other than that. And if believe that none of the other networks have had this kind of problem you are very naive. Verizon Sprint T-Mobile Those were all found within seconds of searching.. Guess what all of the wireless providers are a target for hackers/indentity theft/etc. And I would suspect they've all had problems of this sort at one point or another.. Fail argument is Fail. Read the T-Mobile article. It was all a scam. No information was found. Also, yeah, all companies have slip-ups, but none on the scale of 114,000 customers affected. Link to comment

You forget what I do for a living and have been doing professionally for over 10 years. IT Security is about 90% of my job I see people loose data/get hacked etc. on a regular basis and it usually isn't 1 or 2 people usually it is company/schoolhospital databases with 10's of thousands of accounts being compromised at a time.. but keep believing that AT&T is the only cell provider that has or will get hacked. I never said AT&T or Apple will be the only people who will ever get affected, but the way they handled it was very unprofessional, along with the fact that it was a gaping security hole that common sense would have closed before any hackers found it. What good use would a database full of email addresses do good, other than privacy concerns? I don't want any provider saving my email bases on my ID, and no other company does other than AT&T.
