Razer or Logitech are good for mice, for keyboards you should readh This which actually explains what all this mechanical/film/dome crap I spout off about is and shows you pictures of the inner workings of each.

For headphones avoid USB and "gaming" or "surround" branded anything like the plague. Sound production is a science, not an art, and it's a very well established one with a lot of it's work based in objective fact and empirical science. Unlike mousepads or chairs it is very much a reality for a given headphone to simply be objectively Better than another based on it's frequency range, total harmonic distortion, and components quality. When you have a THD so bad you refuse to publish it and your headphone design is to shove 4 earbuds into a plastic casing and call it "surround sound" your shit is worse than Sennheiser's not because of brand loyalty or opinion but because that's just how the world works.

This.

As for mice, I would recommend the Microsoft Sidewinder. Yes, I know it's a MICROSOFT product but it is the best mouse I have ever used to date. I have used both Razer and Logitech mice before, which are both nice, but the Sidewinder takes the cake.

Logitec Headsets are great, i had mine for a good 2 years untill it broke in january. Something else good would be a Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse, mine has been holding up for a year now. All of which i got at a nice price of 97 USD

Don't listen to any of these fools, the razer cacharias is a great headset, don't bother spending hundreds on sennheisers, it really isn't needed, not ugly is the razer carcharias ridiculously light and comfortable, it has awesome sound quality, a pretty decent mic, and great build quality and strength.

your a freakin idiot... that thing is build like crap and breaks.. as said before if your gonna put 7 speakers in a headset the money save is going to come from some where... built and component quality so dont call me a fool when you have no idea what your talking about.. and im not making this up I had first had experience with the POS your talking about!

And its expensive as fuck!!! HD555 is 85 bucks, sony XB555 is 60 bucks!! both much better!!

If you are gonna buy a gaming headset buy logitech! their headset I owned several for sky and msn and gaming never failed me!

and I own the HD 555 and you would not believe how sturdy that thing is...the cord is 10 feet long so let me tell you its been pulled...and its still flawless...and it can be replaced..

Satan's steelseries just broke after i told him NOT to get it and guess what they didnt even want to replace it..they just sent a check not email, no communication what so ever...

Hey don't bash Seelseries like that! The Headset was awesome and i loved it. It was also was my own fault I broke it (got caught on my foot as i walked away from my desk). Also the shit company that handled the warranty on them was not Steelseries but myserviceplan.com, and yeah that was completely retarded.

But it did last 14 months even with the horrible way I treated it.

But you gotta keep in my mind what you want. The only reason I bought the Steelseries Headset and not the Sennheiser HD555 (which is what I recently bought btw with great feedback from Trakaill), was because I had experience with a mic not incorporated in my Headphones, and I did not like it. So i went with a Headset instead of Headphones. My Steelseries had great sound and the mic was of good quality. However, it might not have been the best build, and that is why I'm going with the Sennheiser HD 555 now, we'll see what happens. Only downside for me is having to deal with the mic, but I dont think it will be as bad as the experience I had before.

lol razer crap

I don't know about the newer Headsets razer is putting on the market, but a couple years ago I had a razer Barracuda, and that thing was very poorly built, the sound was good and so was the mic but it fell apart after just a few months. I think Razer took it off the market and their website after a while too. So if you wanna buy Razer Headsets, keep in mind you could have something that breaks very early in your hands, but again, I don't know any of their latest products.

I hear their mice are good though.
