Why does it even matter on properly labeling the genres? Every band is different from one another and clumping them together into one "label" is pretty degrading. There are always going to be idiots that use inaccurate labels on bands but there isn't much you can do, other then accept the fact. I've given up on labeling bands because it's pointless - it doesn't accomplish anything. It usually results in assumptions such as

 

"Great, this band is labeled metalcore. I guess they suck because I hate other metalcore bands"

 

When in reality they could be a band you fall in love with. Not to mention, bands change their sound from album to album. Threads like this do nothing to accomplish anything, other then a lot of arguing on who is right and who is wrong.

 

Sorry, just my two cents. I've seen this debate for years and it never changes.

OT: I prefer metal over sreamo, cuz imo, screamo is scrathing the big string and double floor toms, instead of being melodic/Something we can hear noticable lyrics, like in Metal.
