McBride Posted June 17, 2010 Content Count: 1331 Joined: 04/12/09 Status: Offline Share Posted June 17, 2010 Would this be too bad? It's what I came up with... Generic Asus DVD Drive Antec 300 WD Caviar Black 500GB Hanns G 22" Monitor Sapphire Toxic Radeon HD 5850 Corsair 650TX Logitech MX518 mouse + generic keyboard G.SKILL Ripjaws 4GB (2x2) RAM Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3 LGA 1156 Mobo Intel i7-920 And some arctic silver 5 thermal paste id recommend a bigger case if your getting a 5850 a small antec 300 might not be able to hold a card that big, but i might be wrong also, it just matters how the case is set up. The 5850 isn't that big/the Antec 300 is big enough to handle it. Link to comment
PotshotPolka Posted June 17, 2010 Content Count: 6084 Joined: 03/31/08 Status: Offline Share Posted June 17, 2010 I would recommend (my) Antec 900, but I would also strongly suggest paying the extra money for a full-tower Antec 1200 since they have dust filters. Also, if anyone wants to answer this: Q9550 VS i7 920? They're both comparable in pricing, Q9550 has a larger L2 cache (920 has L3 caches though) and a faster system clock. If you didn't plan on OCing either which would you suggest? Link to comment
