Sadface I co-develop some free games. To be honest, hacking in paid games is more "pro". They aren't afraid of anything. In free-games, they will just change their IP or something.

This I hacked in 2moons with a few admins, and in Tibia. Free game hacking is fine because if you get caught you lose NOTHING. Hacking to me is fun you get stuff you couldn't but i'd never do it on steam.

Hmm.. I've only hacked on Wow beta testing not on Steam, the reason was for the excitement and I'm sure that's for every game.

People hack 4fun. I used to hack runescape accounts and Tibia accounts with my phisher I made. I still have it on my USB key.

It gives them a since of power, and it makes other people rage. Watching people rage is fun.

 

Also, you can benefit from it if you hack game accounts. But I wouldn't/couldn't even go as far as stealing money.
