I saw this in popular mechanics a while back. they were looking into employing it as a personal military equipment transport over rocky terrain.

It is noisy, but that's because it is a research project. Whatever the military puts out will be a lot more expensive and be pieced together with different technologies, not just some noisy engine that sounds worse than an gas trimmer.

 

It is pretty cool though.

And just like new expensive military technology, it will be to expensive to use : D
