Ketch you're a great buyer as it seems. If I were you I would buy 4gb ram (which I got) but if you want it to run games like CSS, TF2, Gmod etc 2GB is pretty good. But if want to run games like HL2,EP1,EP2, GTAIV etc I would recommend 4GB. I would also buy a better power supply. Nice computer buy it.

P.S. Do not use Vista! It needs much ram memory!!!

ketch, for that price your on a winner, yes your psu might be a bit crap, but your computer does come with a year warrenty as standard, so if it does "blow up" your warrenty covers it. but it wont blow up

as for the ram, yes 4gb if preffered but for that price, i wouldnt be complaining, and you can always add more your self at a later stage for less than $50

2GB of RAM is fine for what you want to do. I'm constantly on CSS, and 2GB is fine. Used Vegas several times (can't say it's a hobby of mine), but it works perfectly. Never touched GIMP, so I can't say much on that. Unlike what most people say, you do not need more then 2GB for what you want.

But mind you, I've been using Vista for over 2 years, without any problems with 2GB of RAM (with, for the most part, only gaming). As I said above, I have never even come close to running out of memory, so why buy extra when you're not even going to use it?

And if you do find yourself out of memory, you can always buy more, as people suggested. RAM, in general, is quite cheap.
